Microsoft revealed back in November of 2013 that Office 2013 would receive Service Pack 1 (SP1) sometime this year. Looks like the wait is finally over, as the download links for both the 32bit and 64bit flavors of Office 2013 Service Pack 1 are now available. Microsoft is rolling out performance enhancements, feature updates, and improved Windows 8.1 compatibility with this update.
Microsoft has put up a blog post officially announcing the availability of SP1. "Today we’ve released Service Pack 1 (SP1) for the 2013 set of Office products including Office 2013, SharePoint 2013 and Exchange Server 2013. SP1 delivers greater stability, expanded functionality, security enhancements and improved compatibility with Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2," Microsoft stated in an official blog post.
Office 2013 customers will begin to get notifications of SP1 availability through Windows Update within the next 30 days. Exchange Server 2013 and SharePoint 2013 customers can download SP1 at the Microsoft download center right now. Those of you on Office 365 do not have to worry about SP1, as you already have the most up-to-date version. Here's what SP1 contains:

- Previously unreleased fixes that are included in this service pack. In addition to general product fixes, these fixes include improvements in stability, performance, and security.
- All the monthly security updates that were released through January 2014, and all the Cumulative Updates that were released through December 2013.
